Fun Facts
Since a very young age I have been involved in music. I played piano for 10 years, but am pretty rusty now; but I can still sing. If I am not listening to Beyonce or Michael Jackson, I usually am reading a good mystery novel. I enjoy reading Sherlock Holmes stories, or even a good James Patterson book. If I am not reading, I am writing. Creative writing is how I express myself, whether it is a poem or a short story. So that's just a little fun info about me!

I first like to get to know the student. Rapport is important! Then Iike to see what type of learner the student is (i.e. visual, hands on, listening) to decide with approach is best. For visual learners I use lots of visual aids (fingers, hands, blocks, pictures) to help them understand concepts. For those who are hands on or application based, I use lots of real life scenarios so they can apply to concept. For those who are listeners, I used ask and respond to see if the child retained the information.
