Spanish I Tutoring

I am a Spanish minor and took 12 years of the language, beginning in 6th grade. I am proficient and have been continuing to practice the language using the app Duolingo. In college I took 4 Spanish classes.

Spanish II Tutoring

AP English Tutoring

In high school I took AP English and received a 4 on the AP exam. I recently tutored my younger brother in this subject when he was a senior in high school last year, so I am familiar with the course and also with teaching the subject matter to high school students.

AP History Tutoring

In high school I took AP English and received a 5 on the AP exam. I recently tutored my younger brother in this subject when he was a junior in high school 2 years ago, so I am familiar with the course and also with teaching the subject matter to high school students.

Biology Tutoring

In high school I took AP Biology and received a 5 on the AP exam. I recently tutored my younger brother in this subject when he was a sophomore in high school, so I am familiar with the course and also with teaching the subject matter to high school students.

Chemistry Tutoring

In high school I took AP Chemistry and received a 3 on the AP exam. I recently tutored my younger brother in this subject when he was a senior in high school last year, so I am familiar with the course and also with teaching the subject matter to high school students.

Economics Tutoring

I have taken several economics courses in college that go beyond the high school level so I am very comfortable with the basics of the subject. I have received As in both of the classes I took in college.

Geography Tutoring

Geography falls under the umbrella of Political Science(which is my major), so I have a lot of experience with this subject. Because of this I believe I would be an effective tutor.

Government Tutoring

I am a senior political science major so I have taken classes on government for the last 4 years as well as AP Government in high school. I received a 5 on the AP exam. Additionally, my younger brother took this class last year as a high school senior and I regularly helped him so I am familiar with the subject material.

Pre Algebra Tutoring

I have taken both algebra and pre-algebra classes in high school and also helped my younger brother with the subject.

Science Tutoring

In high school I took 4 years of science- 2 of chemistry, one of biology, and one of physics so I have experience with multiple science topics. I also took high school level earth science in middle school. I have tutored my little brother in nearly every one of these subjects, and personally performed very well in them while I was in high school. In college I have taken two environmental science courses as well.

Writing Advance Tutoring

When I was in high school I was a writing center tutor. I helped fellow students write papers and complete other assignments.

English Tutoring

I have been taking English classes nearly every year since I was in middle school, including at college. I have done very well in all of these classes and really enjoyed them when I was younger. Because of this I am confident I would be an effective tutor because I am passionate about the subject matter and familiar with it.

Homework Coach Tutoring

Italian Tutoring

I am at a basic conversational level with Italian because last year I studied abroad in Italy for a semester. While abroad I took several introductory level classes and was able to practice the language extensively. Having just been though learning the language myself, I am confident I would be successful at teaching others.

Social Studies Tutoring

I have been taking social studies and history classes nearly every year since I was in middle school, including at college. I have done very well in all of these classes and really enjoyed them when I was younger. Because of this I am confident I would be an effective tutor because I am passionate about the subject matter and familiar with it. Also, I have experience tutoring my young cousins, aged 6 and 10, in this subject.

Study Skills Tutoring

Last year I babysat for two elementary school children and helped one of them with his homework every morning. Often times I would also help him study for tests he had that day so I am familiar with that works and what doesn't for younger children in terms of studying and retaining information.
