About Me
I am a pre-junior at Drexel University, studying Physics (major), Music and Math (minors). I love cooking, rock-climbing, reading and traveling. When I graduate, my goal is to work in renewable technology, helping to make the energy future of the world healthier and more stable!
I have tutored students in Piano, Music and Algebra for several years on a private basis, and enjoyed the experience of helping students learn. In addition, I have tutored my nieces and nephews from the time they were children up through high school, so I know the difficulties that can impact students at different levels of their education. I take philadelphia">tutoring very seriously, because I believe it is important to not only teach a student the material, but help them gain confidence in their abilities, and create helpful habits for the future.
My approach is to aid students in establishing a strong foundation in a subject and then building their knowledge and confidence on that foundation. I can empathize with a student's feeling of being overwhelmed, and understand the unique advantages of having a philadelphia">tutor to help. Better grades are a priority but I also believe that the key to ensuring better grades long term is a students ability to prioritize, plan and feel confident about their work. In my experience, the combination of these approaches has worked well to both bring grades up and keep them up.
