About Me

I am a senior Respiratory Therapist Major at Texas Southern University. I have made the Honorary 4.0 perfect score once, President's list thrice and the Dean's list once. I intend going to medical school at Baylor college of Medicine to become a Pediatrician. I was also a recipient of the tutor of the year award in 2016.

Experience

I worked in the Student Academic Support Services of Texas Southern University as a Senior Tutor and Supplemental Instructor (August 2015 – Present)
I Assisted Professors during class time to attend to the individual needs of students, during and after class time.
I Designed study groups and assign students to these groups based on their weaknesses and strengths.
I Organized tutorial sessions and help students understand what was not properly understood during class lectures.

Approach

While growing up, Math had been a great challenge for me. Ironically my Dad was a math professor and expected his kids to be best at it. I wanted to please my dad so I sought ways to help myself and tutoring was one of them. I had an amazing tutor who not only made me please my dad but birth a math guru in me. Through patience, persistence of consistency, I achieved this. I want to convey this same attitude in all my tutoring sessions to ensure that my students become the best at what they do.
