I enjoy the outdoors biking, running, weightlifting, anything athletic. I'd rather have sun than snow & I'd love to move south one day! My free time is consumed with my teenage daughters and 3 year old Golden Retriever that never leaves my side!

About Me

I am a high school Teacher Consultant as well as English teacher. I am a certified education/michigan/detroit">special education teacher and throughout the years have been fortunate to have worked with students ages 6-18. I am certified as both an elementary and high school teacher.I work with students of varying abilities and disabilities. I approach each day as a new challenge and I love teaching it brings me joy and laughter.I am a single mom of 3 teen girls! I enjoy their sporting events and family activities .

Experience

I've been a education/michigan/detroit">special education teacher for 23 years - 21 years have been in high school English. I work with students with varying ability levels and behaviors . I've been trained in numerous reading and writing programs and I love teaching after all of these years!

Approach

Each child is unique .. every child learns differently and therefore I assess each child separately and approach each child based on his or her individual needs. An individual plan will be devised based on the child's goals.
