I love sports (Basketball, Snowboarding, and staying active in general). I also really like to watch sports (NBA, NCAAM, NFL, NCAAF). I am a dedicated NBA league pass viewer. I also own a dog and a cat, who are both awesome!
About Me
I graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in the spring of 2017 with a degree in Integrative Physiology. And now I obtained my Master's in medical physiology with a perfect 4.0, and am applying to medical schools. I hope to one day enter the field of sports medicine due to my love of sports & desire to help athletes once again reach full health.
Experience
I was a lecture assistant for Chemistry I. I helped students with questions in class and helped with teach recitations. I also tutored fellow students in Exercise Physiology, Immunology, Physiology II, and MCDB Biology. I am also now a lecturer in physiology at UIC.
Approach
I have had a few tutors throughout my academic career. I learned a lot from them, including how to be a better tutor. I ask students what they are currently learning, and what they are feel they are struggling with. Based on the info I receive, I formulate a lesson plan that includes straightforward explanations & practice problems. The practice problems allow me to asses the strengths and weaknesses of the student, and further hone in on the student's weaknesses.
