Fun Facts

Most people who know me know that I enjoy playing video games when I can, mainly computer and Xbox 360 games. My favorite superhero is Batman although I do not have as many comic books as I would like. My favorite books are usually scary and would have to be either The Stand by Stephen King or Watchers by Dean Koontz. As for films I tend to like the epic blockbusters just fine but my favorites are usually offbeat comedies. If I had to choose a favorite it would be a tie between the two comedies

About Me

Hello, my name is Ben Schollmeier. I am a ninteen year old who just started attending the washington">University of Washington this fall as a junior. During my last two years of high school I joined the Running Start program and became a full time Green River Community College student and got to simultaneously earn my High School Diploma and Associates of the Arts degree at the same time. My plans are to earn my Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry at the washington">University of Washington within the next two to three years and then hopefully utilize that to get a job somewhere with my understanding of the chemical nature and processes of the world.

Although this is my first time being officially hired as a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor, I tend to help guide my friends and peers to understand the course material. This is especially true for most math and science classes which tend to make a lot of sense to me so I can help explain the material to others. At Green River I had several classes which I formed study groups for and the study groups were extremely helpful for reviewing, comprehending and understanding the material which really makes it easy to get a good grade in the class. In these study groups I nearly always was the go-to person for any questions my peers and friends have. As a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor I hope to further expand this experience to help clients get better grades and understanding of the class.

My washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring style is pretty straightforward. First I try and gain an understanding of what it is the client is struggling with and how I can help them understand the material. I usually like to write out examples to visually show how the concepts work because I have always found visualizing the problem to help immensely with the understanding of it. Of course as a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor I hope to remain adaptive and help accommodate each client according to their unique and individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.
