Fun Facts

A particular fervor students quickly learn about my individual idiosyncrasies is that I enjoy music and dance of all kinds! Anytime I have a free moment, my students will find me joyfully moving to the rhythms of my own music-making. I was born in Ohio and attended Catholic school, in middle school, my family moved to Washington State, and after being married my husband and I moved to California and for the last two-plus years, I have been residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

About Me

I graduated from the University College at UNM with a LAIS BISI (Liberal Arts Integrated Studies - Bachelor of Integrated Studies and Innovations) in Fall 2022. I am working toward my second major in Fine Arts/Dance with a concentration in Flamenco. I have been accepted into the graduate program for OILS (Organization Information Learning Sciences) at UNM. This January 2024, I am also applying for a Ph.D. in Anthropology/Archeology/Ethnology with a concentration/dissertation in Literary Archaeo-astronomy and Artifact Archaeo-astronomy (to receive an MA along the way) per the advice of my OILS advisor. The ultimate goal is to write, lecture, and create films in regard to a discovery I made in 2012, which I have named ‘The Shadows on the Face of the Sphinx Phenomenon.’ In 2012, my discovery was honored, and I was given the Graham Hancock Award with a monetary value of $1,000.00 at CPAK (Conference on Precession and Ancient Knowledge). My discovery is related to the Precession of the Equinoxes. I have made more discoveries in Literary and Archaeo-astronomy since being at UNM and was a contributor to UNM's UROC (Undergraduate Research and Opportunity Conference) from 2019 to 2022. My GPA at UNM is 4.165.

Experience

For thirty-six years, we ran a dance, yoga, foil fencing, and martial arts school in Escondido California. Our school closed in December 2015. Currently, I am a caregiver as I prepare to start my journey back to higher education. Teaching dance, yoga, foil fencing, and martial arts for thirty-six years to students of all ages afforded me the experience to teach many different techniques. Preparing to enter college, I am very eager to begin working with students again through Frog Tutoring.

Approach

As a child, I loved school and I have always loved learning and teaching. I was fortunate enough to have had a business wherein I was able to utilize a variety of teaching methods on children as young as three and adults as old as ninety-three. I have always taught with positive encouragement and patient persistence during the thirty-six years of owning and operating a dance, yoga, foil fencing, and martial arts school. Students and parents were always amazed at the progress attained.
