Fun Facts

I absolutely love The Beatles, music, and reading literature. I also enjoy volunteering and fund-raising for the American Cancer Society and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I plan on learning Sign Language and hopefully French.

About Me

I am an English major and Secondary Education minor at queens-college">Queens College. I am also a Peer Counselor on campus. I plan to teach High School English and maybe one day become a professor and/or a writer.

For the past two summers, I have worked at the queens-college">Queens College Summer Camp. There I looked after a group of children 6-8 years of age. I also worked side by side with the teachers to aide in the education portion of camp. I actively helped students in reading, writing, and math. I am very pleased to queens">tutor and mentor students.

As a queens">tutor, I plan on using my communicative
skills to help any student. Persistence and positive reinforcement are strong attributes to all sessions. Also, I plan on using listening skills to fully understand how the student feels and what they want to work on; as well as asking them questions about the work. Also, study skills are important for me to share with any students.
