About Me

I am a senior Chemistry Major in Texas A&M Corpus Christi and I will graduate with honors in one semester. When I earn my BS in Chemistry my ultimate goal is to become an Analytical Chemist.

Experience

I have 5 years of teaching experience under the supplemental instruction research program FITW. I have reached the point where I have gained the title of Head SI leader for all STEM instructors. I am also a Chemistry Teacher's assistant. I have two year of gravimetric and analytical chemistry instruction and application on top of my numerous laboratory hours. I also work in developing a new online tutoring method for my campus and I am the lead investigator in that process.

Approach

I used to not like Chemistry while in middle and high-school, but I learned how gratifying science could be. I understand what it is like to struggle in complex math and learn confusing vocabulary. This is why when I teach I go slow and I make sure all of my students understand and enjoy these topics. I have had many PHDs tell me how effective my teaching is and all of my students earn a half a letter to a full letter grade higher with my services. Learning does not have to be scary.
