Fun Facts
I spend a month of every year outside of the US. I believe people are good but ice cream is better. Big clouds and old jazz give me happy chills, and if I could turn every party into a dance party I would. Ultimately, progress is the core of who I am. Ultimately, I want to spend my life helping people realize and believe in their amazing potential.
About Me
I recently graduated from Brigham Young University. I studied international development and public health, which further taught me a love and passion for education. Ultimately, progress is the core of who I am. I want to impact the lives of individuals through organizational innovation and change, which ultimately will happen through widespread impacts on education.
Experience
I have been drawn to teaching in almost everything I've done to this point. I taught in kindergarten for a year. I taught families about nutrition in rural Bolivia. I taught interested families about spiritual progress in Peru. I taught teenagers dance and English in India. I taught teenagers how to change beliefs and behavior at summer camp. I taught large groups of teenagers study and teaching skills for two and half years. It is a huge passion of mine and I hope to continue teaching.
Approach
I did very well in school, until high school when I started struggling and believing that I wasn't intelligent. This belief set me back in huge ways in my learning in school and everywhere else. It took me years and a lot of effort to come back to realize my abilities as a learner. I want to help all learners realize their unique abilities and believe in themselves enough to grasp what is in front of them. I know that everyone is capable of greatness if only they are able to believe that
