About Me
I'm 23 years old, and I am currently a graduate student at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. I am a full time student, however the majority of my semester's courses are based around my clinical study which I am able to do remotely. Between my graduate research and my MCAT studying for med school I have a pretty flexible schedule.
I have tutored since college helping student who ranged in age from 11-19, as well as college advising in the past 2 years with the Memphis Prep organization which helps first-generation College applicants prepare for the college admission process,.
Because I have my biology degree from a liberal arts school I have the benefit of being able to memphis">tutor in a wide variety of subjects such as: public speaking, government/ economics, literature, writing, religious studies, English, history, algebra, geometry, nutrition, anatomy, biology, physics, etc.
I have always needed had some kind of memphis">tutoring, first for reading-comprehension/tennessee/memphis">reading comprehension, then in middle school for math, in high school for chemistry, college organic chemistry and physics, and now MCAT memphis">tutoring. I am one of those people who has just always had to put in the extra work outside of regular class to succeed at the level that I desire. So I take that compassion and understanding that I have always been afforded and put that into my memphis">tutoring approach for other students. Patience, understanding, focus, and humor have always helped me get through to students who feel dejected and frustrated because of needing extra help. I believe every student can succeed in school, it all just depends on putting in the time and building up their confidence in themselves.
