Fun Facts
Perhaps my most favorite hobby is playing the piano. I have played it for around 8 years, and I have performed and auditioned numerous times. I have won the Critic's Circle Award for the National Piano Guild 5 years in a row, being commended for my excellent performance. I have also played football and ran track and field during middle and high school.
About Me
I am a sophomore CAP student at The University of Texas at San Antonio who plans on majoring in science/texas/san-antonio">Computer Science. I have a great interest in various STEM fields and I am open to career paths. I enjoy helping others and I volunteer and tutor often. My plan is to pursue a degree in science/texas/san-antonio">Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin next year.
Experience
I have had experience tutoring students in all math and science courses throughout my junior and senior years of high school. I gained opportunities to tutor students through the National Honor Society and through library sessions. I continued to tutor students during college and helped improve their grades and understanding of certain subjects.
Approach
My father, who is a mathematics professor at UTSA, has influenced my learning approach. A lot of what I have been taught back then was methods on how to solve problems. What is sometimes not touched upon is the reasoning behind those methods and why they are valid. I believe learning that is a crucial aspect of building problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Calculus I Tutoring
I received credit for this course by taking Calculus AP during my senior year of high school and getting a 4 on this AP exam. I also tutored students on this subject during my freshman year of college. I understand how to utilize derivatives and integrals to solve the problems using various methods.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
I took Calculus II during my freshman year of college and received an "A" letter grade. I practiced extensively with hyperbolic functions and integration techniques, and how to apply them.
Chemistry I Tutoring
I took Chemistry I during my freshman year of college and received an "A" letter grade. By understanding the concepts in chemistry, I was able to help other students in the course and improve their grades. I also tutored students in chemistry during my second semester.
College Algebra Tutoring
I have tutored students in College Algebra for over two years, including during high school. I understand how to apply algebraic concepts to other subjects as well.
Physics I Tutoring
I took Physics I during my freshman year of college and received an "A" letter grade. I was able to explain concepts involving calculus and tutor students in physics.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I received credit for Pre Calculus in college by taking the course during my junior year of high school. I have tutored students in Pre Calculus for over a year, including during my college years.
Algebra Tutoring
I took Algebra in middle school to receive credit for it in high school. I have tutored students in algebra throughout my high school and college years.

I took Algebra II during my sophomore year of high school. I have tutored Algebra II during my high school and college years.
AP Chemistry Tutoring
I took AP Chemistry during my senior year of high school and then took Chemistry I during my freshman year of college. Taking Chemistry I and II in college has allowed me to better understand concepts taught in AP.

I took Physics during my junior year of high school and again during college. Taking Physics I and II during college has helped me understand concepts in physics better, including applications involving calculus.
Trigonometry Tutoring
I learned most of my trigonometry during Pre Calculus and continued during Calculus. I can apply trigonometry to later concepts in Calculus, ranging from derivatives to advanced integration techniques.
Piano Tutoring
I have taken piano lessons for over 8 years, which included music theory, performing, and auditioning. I have won the Critic's Circle Award for the National Piano Guild 5 years in a row, being commended for my excellent performance. I have played a wide variety of genres, my main ones being classical and romantic.
