Fun Facts

Some fun facts about me, even though I love to read and write, I currently work in a hospital doing medical research! I have turned my passion into a meaningful job by reading and writing grants to help save lives. I also love to travel the world and meet new people! I have been to over 30 countries.

About Me

I am currently a Research Coordinator at Northwestern University in Women's Health. I attended Ohio University where I majored in English and International Studies and received a minor in Communications. I went on to study Pre-Medical coursework at Northwestern University. I made the Dean's List every semester of college and graduated with a major GPA of 3.93 / 4.0 and a cumulative GPA of 3.86 / 4.0.

Experience

I started tutoring during my undergraduate years. I tutored athletes from the Football and Baseball teams at Ohio University and then went on to tutor learning disabled students. I tutored Writing, Reading, Literacy, Reading Comprehension, Test Prep, Biology, Political Sciences, History and more for over 3 years.

Approach

Growing up, my brother struggled to get by in school eventually being diagnosed with a learning disability. Seeing how hard it was for him to achieve his dreams, I set out to really take an individualized approach with each student. I like to see the strengths the student has and use those to help with areas they may be struggling with. I think my brother always benefited from individual attention in his subjects, I have used that guideline to always help my own students!
