Fun Facts
My main passion is travel and the outdoors. At any moment you can find me outdoors or planning my next big trip. I have been to over 26 countries and counting! I lived in South America for three months and now want to share my interest in the Spanish Language with others!
About Me
I am a sophomore Business Information Systems major, Spanish minor at Texas Christian University. Before TCU, I attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, currently in my second semester at TCU. When I graduate I hope to work in international consulting. My ultimate goal is to start my own business somewhere outside of the U.S.
Experience
Throughout high school I volunteered as a TA and tutor at a non-profit educational program called Breakthrough Kent Denver. This passion for helping students continued past high school. I returned last summer to teach 8th grade reading. Although reading and writing is not my passion, teaching and helping students is, and the six weeks I spent with my students were incredible. Working for Frog Tutoring would give me the opportunity to continue impacting student's learning!
Approach
Until college, I was a relatively unmotivated and uninterested student. Sitting in a classroom was my worst nightmare, I would day dream of being outside hiking or biking. It wasn't until college when I found an interest for learning in a classroom setting because my professors were truly passionate about the subject they were teaching. I hope to impact students in the same way my college professors have impacted me by showing interest in the subject and teaching in a fun and exciting way.
