Fun Facts

I am passionate about athletics and fitness and spend much of my time outdoors playing sports. However I also love my down time, reading a good book or listening to music. I love people and am a social butterfly so anytime that I can I will be found surrounded by people and engaging in conversation. I hope to one day travel the world and experience many different cultures.

About Me

I am a sophomore Communication Studies and Religious Studies double major with a minor in psychology at TCU. I am a member of the John V. Roach Honors College as well as of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I have also been recognized on the Dean's List. I hope to go on to get my masters either in Communication or Psychology after TCU and eventually work with youth in ministry.

I have been tutoring since my freshman year in high school. I tutored one middle school student consistently for 2 1/2 years with many other clients in between. I have tutored a wide variety of subjects spanning from music to science.

My approach to tutoring involves guiding the student to discovering the answer on their own. I will lead them by asking questions that guide them to the next step to finding the answer to the question they are trying to answer. I believe that patience is key, and encouragement is beneficial. Rewarding the student for what they do correctly and helping give them confidence that they can understand it. Each student is different and I think it is important to adapt my tutoring style to their individual needs and style of learning.
