Fun Facts
My family and friends find me so weird that I have addiction to chewing or eating ice. Seriously, I can finish a regular size bag of ice that you can buy from grocery store in just one morning. Every time I have an opportunity, you would see me with a cup of ice chewing and eating them. Sometimes at work, I would chew ice very loudly that I forget there are people around me. Chewing ice helps me reduce daily stress from work, home, school and basically can help me focus.
About Me
I am a well-experienced classroom teacher with excellent education background. For over 20 years now, I have acquired skills that help improve students' achievement especially in math, both in high school, middle school, and elementary level. As a teacher, I deliver a valuable lesson to my students making sure that they receive quality education. I not only focus on my subject matter, I also help students become more successful at school by teaching them how to practice good study habits.
Experience
I have over 20 years of teaching experience. My background is in high school but throughout my teaching career, I have taught different levels of math ranging from kindergarten math to calculus. I have taught thousands of students from in and out of the classroom. As of writing this profile, I just came across one of my former students at a grocery store, thanking me for inspiring him to do well in math.Being a teacher is a challenge but very rewarding at the same time.
Approach
Many students find math very difficult and challenging. We cant blame them since often times they don't understand what they are learning.My approach to teaching is simple. Providing students the experience of meaningful learning. Understanding concepts,why formulas work, relevance to students lives are some factors that will help students develop the love for learning math. I don't just provide steps and procedures, I teach my students the why's and how's in math.
