Fun Facts
I don't believe in "talent" when it comes to mathematics, no one is born with natural computation abilities. Math comes to those who pursue it. "The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination" - Albert Einstein
About Me
I am a Mechanical Engineering student currently attending San Jose State University. I am currently a part of the Formula SAE team which designs, builds and races small scale formula cars. When I graduate I hope to work for Tesla Motor Corp.
As a student, I have had the opportunity to tutor people in group and individual settings. Most tutoring was done during exam season for college level math courses. I especially enjoy helping people who have a strong desire to learn but need some extra guidance from someone who has passed the subject they struggle in. When time or availability was limited, I have also tutored individuals via Skype. Helping people understand material, and more importantly, helping to pass classes is a passion of mine.
As a young adult, I found many mathematics courses to be boring and unimportant. It wasn't til a Physics Professor showed me the true value of mathematics. He showed that it was not necessarily about the solution but the approach. My method of tutoring is showing students the proper way to classify a problem and ways of finding solutions. I ask many questions and guide students to where they might find the solutions. Much learning is found on the path to the answer, not the answer itself.
