Fun Facts
Whenever I have free time and it's nice weather, I love being outdoors! I enjoy going for walks and hikes as well as exploring new places. Another passion of mine is writing and reading. If I'm not reading anything for school then I always pick up a book for myself. One of my favorite places to go is the library or a bookstore.
About Me
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University (SBU) in Psychology and Sociology. In addition, I completed a double-minor in History and Latin American/ Caribbean Studies. Post-graduation, I worked as a Research Support Specialist in the Department of Psychiatry at SBU Medicine. Currently, I work as a Care Manager connecting those in need to healthcare and community resources. I hope to go back to school soon to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Experience
At Stony Brook, I was an academic peer-tutor. I have tutored various courses in history, psychology and sociology. As a shelter worker for a housing agency for homeless families, I also help kids with homework there as well as through my babysitting experience. As a future educator, tutoring has been the ideal experience and I am honored to continue my work with Frog Tutoring.
Approach
In working with a variety of students on different subjects, I know from experience that every student has specific needs and learning styles. I do my best to tailor my service to each individual and encourage open communication and feedback so as to make the most of each session! I love motivating others and encouraging everyone to pursue their full potential!
