I love playing guitar and piano for fun.

I am a total coffee fiend (we're talking 3 cups+ a day). It's my only real vice though so I'm comfortable with that.

I believe in leading as healthy a life as possible so I exercise frequently and juice my own fruits and vegetables at home.

About Me

I graduated from Texas State University in December 2012 with my Master in Accountancy (3.82 GPA). I plan on starting a PhD program at UTSA in Fall 2014 and am enjoying tutoring in the meantime. I have passed all 4 parts of the CPA exam and have some experience in Public Accounting.

I have over a year of tutoring experience as a Graduate Assistant working for Texas State University. I worked with undergraduate and graduate Accounting majors as well as nonmajors taking Accounting for the first time. It really pushes your teaching chops to explain Accounting to a student that has never seen the material before. I also currently work part-time at a Mathnasium tutoring kids of various ages and skill levels in Mathematics.

I like to mix direct teaching with socratic questioning. I believe kids should be aware of their own thought processes. I never like to give kids the answers directly. Also, I believe in mastery before moving on.
