One thing I find that I have in common with a lot of people is that I love the beach and the sun! I can't get enough of being outside, hiking, biking, jogging etc. Working out is a big deal for and I am a huge proponent of staying in shape and being active!

About Me

I am currently in a masters of education program at the University of Arizona and I am student teaching at Flowing Wells High School. I love working with younger kids, high school level kids and even people my own age. I have a great time with anyone I meet and I am very easy to get along with! I am very goal oriented and will not give up until I have accomplished them.

I have mostly tutored friends in the classes they have taken after me and have had great success with them. I am currently a student teacher and have a lot of experience teaching kids at the high school age level as well as writing lesson plans. I was a biology lab instructor at the University of Arizona for 3 semesters and help office hours to help students with their assignments so I also have experience at the college level. I have also taught gymnastics for a number of years to younger kids so I have experience working with kids at multiple age levels.

As with my teaching approach, I strive to give students the skills they need to succeed on their own and rely less and less on other people. My goal is to prepare students for further education whether it be high school or college and I am huge advocate for getting students interested in college. Teaching kids the skills they need in specific subject areas to succeed at higher levels of education is a major goal of mine. I like to take my time with students as the learning process is a slow but steady and procedural task. I like to provide multiple examples and ways of thinking about a particular concept to help engage students in the content and ease their way into the material.
