Fun Facts
Hello! I am thrilled to see you have found my page. As you know, my name is Ashley Errico. Let me tell you a little about myself; I do a lot of photography in my spare time, my first masters is in theater, I am currently a graduate student once again - this time for community counseling, I love to see and try new things and I LOVE books! The amount of things you can learn and the places you can go in books is infinite. I hope to instill my passion for learning and books in all of my students!
About Me
My undergraduate degree is from the charleston">College of Charleston in Early Childhood Education, however, I am a certified teacher (EC-4) here in Texas. I received my masters in theater from the University of Hull in Scarborough, England. I am also a certified theater teacher (EC-12) here in Texas. I am now back in school once again for Community Counseling at UTSA. I would like to one day open my own private practice catering to women and children.
I have experience with teaching children as young as 3 up to college level. I have taught Pre-K and Kindergarten, I ran my own summer programs for children 3-17 and when I lived in England I taught an undergraduate course in key practitioners. I feel well equipped to teach and help children of any age and am thrilled for the opportunity to potentially work with your child to help him/her grow toward their full potential.
As a teacher/tutor, I genuinely believe that EVERY child has the ability to learn and if we play our cards right - they have the potential to learn to LOVE learning. Teaching a child to be confident in their own abilities (at whatever level they may be) will help them for the rest of their life. I am a huge believer and advocate of Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences, meaning everyone has their own unique way of processing and absorbing new information. I feel that it is my job as a teacher/tutor to present new concepts in a variety of ways until it speaks to that individual child's learning style. I like to mold my methods to the needs of each child, helping them to find their confidence, find a love for learning, and help to get to that next level!
