Fun Facts

I love science, and cannot wait to work in the hospital as a nurse. I speak 3 languages fluently, and used to spy on people on the train when I was little because I could understand what they are saying. In my free time I love to do gymnastics, play piano, and do art. I have a little sister who is nine years younger than me and I get a lot of my experience from teaching her.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year of nursing school at Northeastern University. I went to Greece for my first semester for the NUin program, and studied there at the American College of Thessaloniki for three whole months. The program I am in is very rigorous, but after I graduate I hope to get a masters degree to become a nurse practitioner, and hopefully work with children. I also hope to volunteer and work in private practices to help translate in certain medical units and for those to need.

Experience

I have been tutoring for over five years now. I started with working with two young boys and teaching them Chinese and piano. Ever since them I have had a passion to tutoring and have been doing it throughout high school and college. In college, I added students needing homework help, math, english, science and more. I work mostly with kids in elementary, middle, and high school. Working here gives me a chance to keep teaching kids and doing what I love, while spreading my knowledge.

Approach

When I was in elementary school I was behind in English since I started learning it a little bit late. Most of my teachers were very harsh and constantly pushed me down. It wasn't until my third grade teacher who was the most patient, caring, and encouraging teacher I have ever had. As a tutor, I try to help my students in individualized and different ways, instead of pushing them down. I love being creative and pushing my students to do their best.
