At the age of six I moved with my family from Texas to Shanghai, China and lived there until I completed my high school graduation. I am very active and love to play any sport. I competitively sprint at the college level. I traveled all around the world visiting 30+ countries!
About Me
I am a first year science/california/san-francisco">Computer Science major at the University of San Francisco. Programming has always been a passion of mine and I plan explore its many different career paths. I play a variety of different sports and am a student-athlete on my universities' division 1 track and field team as a sprinter. I am a passionate learner and look forward to not only providing tutoring help but also hope to be a reliable role model for the student.
Experience
I have a variety of teaching experiences, each with different demographics and subjects. I participated in the Hour of Code program at my school for two years. I travelled to Yunnan, China three years in a row to educate underprivileged rural children english and health. I often aided my peers with science/california/san-francisco">Computer Science work, projects and tests. And although a different form of experience I believe it uses the same principles, I was team captain of my high school track team helping my fellow athletes
Approach
I personally prefer structured and logical progression. I like to keep it as simple as possible to ensure the student fully understands the material before moving on to the next. I am calm and patient to reassure that it is impossible to fail as long as they try. I hope to provide strong learning skills that will persist through their entire academic career.
