My favorite hobbies are playing basketball and video games. I am an only child, and I have traveled to many countries. One day, I hope to learn how to make music.
About Me
I am a Freshman at Seattle University, double majoring in Environmental Studies (with a specialization in politics) and Public Affairs. I am also minoring in Arabic since it is my native background. I hope to attain a high GPA so I can attend law school after I graduate.
Experience
I have been doing private Arabic tutor lessons since my sophomore year in high school, and I feel very comfortable teaching the language. I also used to teach Arabic to preschool students at Makkah Islamic School in Seattle.
Approach
From prior tutoring experience, I realize that the best approach is to guide the student into making the epiphanies themselves, rather than giving the answer. I've learned that languages need to be taught in a subliminal matter rather strictly with memorization. Letters are to be taught first, followed by punctuation, verbs, vowel rules and etc. I learned a lot of tips from my mom, who is the Arabic instructor at Seattle University.

Arabic Tutoring
Have been learning Arabic for 6 years now. Native Arabic background. Took Arabic 1, Arabic 2, and now currently enrolled in Arabic 3 with a 4.0 cumulative in the subject. Working to attain a minor in the language.
French Tutoring
Both parents are native French speakers, been exposed to the language my whole life. I often helped my classmates with French homework in high school, as I had an A in my 3 years of French class.
Religion Tutoring
Took courses at Makkah Islamic School. Highly knowledgable in the Muslim religion and its affiliations with Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism
Writing Tutoring
I often accredit myself to be a strong writer. Never have I ever gotten lower than a B on an essay since coming to college. Scored high on writing portion of SAT.
Biology Tutoring
Biology was my intended major because I achieved quality grades in Biology class in high school. I know a lot about the following fields: genetics, evolution, cell structure, cell therapy, and cell functions
English Tutoring
English is my first language. I have mastered standard grammar rules and sentence structures. Took AP language classes in high school, ending with an A.
Math Tutoring
Basic math is like second nature to me. I've often helped classmates with math homework until college.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I can read and comprehend almost any sentence, and I feel like I can help another student understand sentences very well. Especially poetry and classical English writing. Have taken classes such as Honors English, AP Language, and I took English 101 and 102 while a senior in High School.
Science Tutoring
My high school chemistry and biology grades were never went below A-. I took Chemistry 1 during my 1st quarter, and I took Biology 1 during my 2nd quarter.
Social Studies Tutoring
In high school, I got an A in psychology, AP world history, AP American history, and AP Government. I am majoring in Public Affairs, which has a strong emphasis on social studies.
Conversational Arabic Tutoring
I have been speaking Arabic since I was little. I formally started learning it in 8th grade at Makkah Islamic School, where I later became a preschool teacher. I tutor Arabic privately to students at Ballard Interfaith Community Church. I have a cumulative 4.0 from every Arabic class I've taken in college.
