Fun Facts
I am an avid long-distance runner, I swear I am not addicted to coffee (I just love drinking it every morning), and I care a lot, a lot, a lot about learning, the environment, and other people!
About Me
I am going into my final year at Saint Joseph's University. I have lots of majors and minors--Spanish and Secondary Education majors and Religion and Latin American Studies minors. I am a member of the Track and Field and Cross Country teams there, and that takes up a lot of my time--so many miles to run every day! Additionally, I sing in one of the school's choirs and serve on the university's Student Senate. I have lots of interests and throw myself all the way in to everything that I do.
Experience
As an education major, I often work one-on-one with students who need a little extra support when I am at my field placements. My primary areas of expertise are Spanish and language in general, but I love all subjects. I am a member of multiple honor societies (their specialities range from Spanish to Music to the Jesuit values!).
Approach
I fully understand how different learning styles and abilities can impact someone's education. I happen to be someone who responded well to standardized testing measures in school, but really struggled with applying content area knowledge. I do my best to understand how each person thinks about learning and the world when I engage in conversation with them, tutoring aside! As a tutor, would aim to not simply provide people with the information they need, but help them to find it in their own way
