Fun Facts
I absolutely love trying new foods so I spend most of my free finding new restaurants to visit via Yelp. Unfortunately, I rarely get the chance to visit all of them. I am also a Gym fanatic and adore going to the gym. I know, the irony of it all; but the gym is an amazing way to relieve stress and it keeps me in shape from all the food I eat! I am the oldest of three and have traveled to many different countries including Turkey, Czech Republic, Vietnam, Austria, Hungary, and Germany.
About Me
I am currently a senior in high school and I am ahead in my math classes and very good at social studies all the way up to the 12th-grade level. I am in the top 3 percent of my class and have maintained a 4. 0 GPA throughout high school. My dream job is to become a social entrepreneur finding nonprofits that will help underserved communities fight social plight. I started a small tutoring organization at home to teach children for free. My hope is this tutoring will reach other parts of the U.S.
Experience
I have been tutoring and mentoring children both privately and in school, since I was in the sixth-grade and everyone I've tutored learns effectively and quickly. I started off with clubs in my school such as PALS and COMET. At home, I tutor my younger siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. I can tutor anyone from Pre-K to 9th grade in any subject! As an officer of many of the clubs at my school, I got to strengthen my leadership skills through mentorship of my peers and the services I provide.
Approach
Growing up, I did not grasp things as easily as other children my age nor was I as engaged. As I got older, I started finding new ways that suited my style of learning, ways that were not only fun but also allowed me to fully understand concepts. As a tutor, I always cater to different learning styles, as every child learns differently. The end goal for everyone I tutor is that they retain that knowledge and skill and apply it to their future studies and of course, to have fun along the way.

Business
Algebra Tutoring
Algebra is one of my strongest subjects for math. I ended my school year in Algebra with an overall average of a 98 and passed my Algebra STAAR test with a commended performance. My brother and sister are currently taking algebra I and II at the high school level and I tutor them every evening.
AP English Tutoring
I greatly enjoy AP English III and I passed the AP exam. I recently took AP English III last year so the skills I learned from the class are vivid in my mind. My overall grade for this class was a high A still have study materials from last year that I can use when tutoring.
AP History Tutoring
AP US History was one of my strongest subjects. I always had a passion for social studies so AP US history came easily to me. I passed the AP exam for this course and ended the course with an overall A+ average. I took this class last year so I have study material for this class as well.
AP Statistics Tutoring
I currently take AP STATS and ended the class last semester with a 94 average. I help many of my peer's study for our statistics test every week and I feel confident about passing the AP test this May. Statics is vital for my Business major so I have to pay a lot of detail to this subject.
ESL Tutoring
I once was an ESL student myself. I understand how hard it is to learn a new language, especially English! Fortunately, I excel in my native language — Vietnamese — as well as English. I can tutor your child if acclimating to the English language is hard for your child.

I have taken a total of five math courses in high school, one of which was AP Statistics. I have continued to score high grades in all of my math classes. I also tutor high school students in all subject fields of math since freshman year of high school.
SAT Math Tutoring
I scored in the 90th percentile for the Math portion of the SAT and have tutored juniors to prepare for their SAT. All the juniors that I have tutored have gone to do well on their SAT and some continue to study under me to prepare for their real SAT senior year.
Spanish I Tutoring
My overall average for Spanish I was a 98 freshman year. I took Spanish for four years prior to high school so my Spanish is fair. I can read and write Spanish as I do in English and plan on learning more so that I can speak the language fluently.

My successful high school career as a result of my study habits. Because of my study habits and organization, I will be graduating in the top 3% of my class with a 4.64 GPA. I can teach your child to do the same without stressing them out.

My end objective is to have the student finish their homework during their time with me so that they have time to relax when they get home.
