About Me
I am studying Chemical Engineering at houston">University of Houston with a GPA of about 3.5. This is my junior year. I have couple of Co-op experiences with different companies in my field. During my co-op I learned lots of things that you need besides school and I look forward to joining the work force after graduation. I was a President of an organization on campus and we did very well that year. We went to Florida (Disney World) for our Regional Congress and we all had fun.
I worked at houston">the houston">University of Houston atlanta">Tutoring Center for about 2 years. While there I tutored lots of Math courses starting from basic math to Calculus II. I also tutored Chemistry I-II, Accounting, and Geology. During my high school senior year I was an AVID atlanta">tutor, which helps students think critically and get ready for their college career.
My atlanta">tutoring approach is very simple: I like to relate student questions to real world so they can visualize or better understand. My aim is not just getting the answer but to explain the concept and help them understand it. After that, getting the answer is a piece of cake. I put equal emphasis on conceptual and quantitative materials which helps students to retain it for long time. During atlanta">tutoring session I expect students to have their notes and books with them, that makes it easier for both of us what and where to look for reference/ formulas.
Experience
I have worked as a atlanta">tutor for 4 years in college and I was also a AVID atlanta">tutor in senior year of high school. I have had few clients with Frog atlanta">tutoring and looking forward to expand customer base with high quality.
Approach
My approach is very simple, I usually start off by asking questions and use student notes to help them find the answer. Instead of telling/showing them an answer it is my best practice to give them guidance on things they find it difficult this way it helps them think on their feet and very useful for future.
