Fun Facts
A HUGE math nerd. Back in high school I would stay after school to work on difficult math problems I had found online- so difficult that the whole math department couldn't figure it out. I still do math problems and brain teasers in my free time.
About Me
I'm an Electrical Engineering Graduate from Vanderbilt University, with experience working for Accenture, Bridgestone, and more. I'm someone with a technical background but the people skills and soft skills to back it up.
I love teaching people about math and more, and hope they can catch my love of these subjects as well.
Experience
I've taught engineering and math students in elementary school, and often taught math to my peers when they don't understand a topic. I'm eager to help students master their subjects, and I think you'll find that I have a very grounded, personal approach.
Approach
I believe the difference between those who are considered "smart" and others doesn't come down to some innate ability that some have from birth- I believe it comes down to a simple component: confidence. I believe any student can learn anything if they have the confidence to do so- eventually that creates a positive feedback loop as students complete problems successfully via reward mechanisms in the brain.
My goal comes down to that: confidence. My approach starts there and builds.
