About Me
I am a freshman at dallas-baptist-university">Dallas Baptist University. I am a Biblical studies major with a minor Spanish. Currently, I have a 4.0 GPA. After college, I hope to open a community center in inner-city San Antonio, my hometown. In the past, I have been recognized for servant leadership, academic achievement, and art skill.
In high school, I directed a dallas">tutoring program at a local children's home. My classmates and I came weekly to assist elementary boys, most of which were about two years behind in school. We focused on teaching the children reading, writing, and math as well as helping them finish their homework. In addition, my senior year of high school, I tutored a fourth grade girl in math. I met at her house weekly to review concepts and check her homework.
My parents always motivated and equipped me to do well in school. As a dallas">tutor, I hope to provide that same motivation and help to equip other students to succeed. I believe one-on-one dallas">tutoring is a great asset to encourage students and explain concepts a student is having difficulty with. One-on-one dallas">tutoring provides essential attention to make certain the student understands the concepts, individual time a school classroom cannot allow for.
