About Me
I graduated from University of Florida with full scholarship major in building management. I got my undergraduate degree in China with double major – Construction Management and English. I was an honorary graduate with the First prize of scholarship for four years in a row. I have been in States for 10 years. As a manager role, my job requires me to communicate with people from different departments and companies professionally and effectively.
Experience
I volunteered in teaching elementary kids years ago. In the past years, I have been teaching my friends Chinese in my spare time. They all loved how clear, simple and fun I made the learning experience for them! I traveled back to China 2-3 times each year in average for business meetings and contract negotiations. I am very comfortable in helping people who want to learn Chinese, no matter beginners, intermediate, post-intermediate, to get to the next efficiently and confidently.
Approach
The secret to speaking a new language with confidence is all about attitude, not ability. So I focus on the rightly couching methods to help students develop right attitude. I use different cards with pics of Chinese alphabet to teach students the fundamentals firstly. I use different clips from movies/TV shows/music MTVs in class to make the learning experience fun and practical.
