On my free time I love to play soccer, watch movies, read books, and spend time with my lovely wife! Another fun fact is that I am a veteran of the Marine Corps.

About Me

I am a student at Cal State San Marcos, and am majoring in Literature and Writing Studies. Later in my career I plan to being an English teach abroad.

Experience

In my path as an English major, I have had the privilege to work at a Writing Center in a community college. There I had three years experience of working with students, of all levels, with their essays. Working there made me realize how much I love working with students and their essays!

Approach

I grew up in household that only spoke Spanish which made it difficult as a kid to adapt to the English language. After many years of being associated with public education, friendships, and sports, I was able to gain fluency in English. With that, I fell in love with Literature and Writing in high school which allowed me to leave the ESL program that I was a part of for many, many years. Having a background as an ESL student gives me the advantage of relating to other students!
