Fun Facts

I am an only child who loves to play guitar and write songs. I have a deep passion for psychology and helping people solve their problems, as well as programming applications for fun on my PC. Throughout high school, I played tennis on both the JV and varsity teams, leading me to help a local tennis club teach tennis to children ages 3-14 over the summers. My passion for psychology and helping people solve their issues would make me a great tutor for Frog Tutoring.

About Me

I am a rising sophomore at chicago">Loyola University Chicago, studying both Psychology and science/illinois/chicago">Computer Science; I love both subjects with great passion, and am currently undecided which field I would like to pursue as a career. I am in the honors college, and expect to graduate with honors in 2021. I hope to eventually receive a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and run my own clinical psychology practice helping children with mental disabilities, or a masters in science/illinois/chicago">Computer Science and program for companies.

Experience

I am an award-winning high school journalist that wrote and designed stories for the Lake Zurich High School media. I was also a part of the National Honor Society, where I volunteered around the community and tutored high school children in a variety of subjects. I worked at a tennis camp at College Park Athletic Club helping coach the children, and I have also worked as a tutor for a child with ADHD, helping him to complete his schoolwork and succeed in his classes.

Approach

Throughout elementary school I struggled to grasp concepts all the other children seemed to learn. In fifth grade, I got a tutor who helped me to get organized and taught me class material in ways I could understand, eventually inspiring me to follow in her footsteps, tutoring children throughout high school. When tutoring, I attempt to help the student fill in the gaps between their understanding, allowing them to succeed in their current classes as well as future classes.
