Fun Facts
I really enjoy karaoke, because of my mediocre vocal chords. I am a double major in nursing and English; It's kind of a right brain-left brain paradox. I've worked as a server my entire time in college, Lee University, and am incredibly grateful for it. I love dogs and have rescued many wandering pups from the streets (also rescued squirrels with broken limbs) and spent many hours searching for their owners. I love to read and write papers about what I read becauseI can create cool ideas.
About Me
I am from Portage Indiana and graduated high school in 2015. I am currently earning my undergraduate at Lee University as a Nursing and English major. I want to be a traveling nurse and at the end of my nursing career. After college, I plan on working in hospice while furthering my education to become a pediatric oncologist. Also, I want to teach both English and nursing at Lee University.
Experience
I have tutored multiple students in anatomy and physiology (both one and two) in college. I have received great feedback and enjoy teaching. I have been doing so for the past three years. I have experience planning and delegating as the student body president for my high school of 5,000 students and in Theta (a service based greek club).
Approach
As a tutor, I always find a way of explaining a topic with clarity and in a way to make sense of it. I am by no means an expert in any subject, but have always reviewed for my tutees and studied to find a way to make sense of things. The tutee must meet me half way, in regard to doing the work. I review with what the tutee already went over through inoculation and use dry erase markers, pictures, videos, and ideas to attain true understanding of what is required (and sometimes more).

Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I have earned a solid A in this course as a summer class. It was fast paced and required a lot of time for the average student. I found what worked for me and proved it on my exams. I've also helped two students pass the class (one being her second time taking the course) and found a way for them to understand specific topics (i.e. The Citric Acid Cycle).
Anatomy Physiology II Tutoring
I have earned an A- in this course with a personal situation that affected my performance for an exam, but I was able to find success. I have be able to clearly explain the process of certain body systems to the point of understanding (i.e. the movement of blood). I have received great feedback from my previous tutees in these courses.
English Tutoring
I have earned a solid B in my latest English course due to another personal hiccup. However, I can construct and revise or peer review with caution. I have experience with both MLA and APA format.
Literature Tutoring
I have a solid understanding of Literary Movements and their ideas. I have many ideas and interpretations based on a handful of literary criticisms that I can joyfully share and inspire an original train of thought.
Nursing Tutoring
I am midway into my nursing undergrad and know many of the required nursing skills and the profession it self. I will soon be earning a CNA license in July 2018.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have tinkered with many study skills. I tend to stick with traditional study tactics, but also find more enjoyable ways to learn and make clever associations. I have shared many of my study sets and skills with students, friends, and tutees.
Government Tutoring
I have taken Government in college and finished with an A. I have put a lot of time into this course and found the perfect way to study for it. I am well acquainted with the founders to modern critics.
Social Studies Tutoring
I have always enjoyed social studies. I used to tutor my siblings and I would act out history with them to make it fun and memorable.
