I love to exercise!Walking is my favorite thing to do I love to cook & spend time with my own kids and dogs. I'm a teacher so I'm always thinking of new ways to encourage my students to engage in learning.I'll do spur of the moment things just to see if everyone is paying attention.I've even been know to start singing from the textbooks as well as pull out the shaving cream to use to write!!

About Me

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the memphis">University of Memphis in 2007. My GPA was 3.56. Teaching is my second career and it's the best thing I've ever done!! I am also ESL certified.

I have taught and tutored K-8 for several years. I currently teach 2nd Grade, including Reading, Phonics, English, Spelling Math and other subjects. I have taught other grade levels as well. Teaching is my passion and I love memphis">tutoring one on one!

I am very patient, loving and organized. When I memphis">tutor a student, I meet them where they're at. Although we work on the current skills that need to be enhanced, I also try to work in organizational and study skills as well. I like to use a variety of techniques, from working together on the board or finding interactive educational games on the computer. I believe working with kids one on one not only benefits students academically, but builds their self-esteem and gives them a sense of pride that carries over into other parts of their lives.
