I love to play soccer and people are usually surprised by how much energy I have regardless of the time of day or situation. I love to workout, spend time at the beach and cook.
About Me
I am a nursing student at University of San Diego preparing to get my M.S.N. Before pursing a career in Nursing, I studied Kinesiology Pre-Physical Therapy at San Diego State University because of my interest in nutrition, exercise and overall health. I play soccer, hike, run and love to stay active.
Experience
At SDSU I was an academic tutor for the Department of Athletics. (Dec. 2014-May 2016) As a tutor, I developed weekly lesson plans and interactive activities for the students. I tutored over 20 Student Athletes in Spanish, statistics and college-level General Education courses. I truly enjoyed using my creativity to design lesson plans catered to each student's individual learning style.
Approach
I am an extremely positive person and enjoy teaching students and peers how to solve problems. It always bothered me when I saw students look down upon others who didn't get a concept right away or thought someone was asking a stupid question. I am very patient and really enjoy helping others.

History Tutoring
I am extremely passionate about History. I took Advanced Placement (AP) US history in high school and received a 4 on the AP Exam and an A in the class. In addition, at SDSU I took two semesters of World History (101/102) and received an A in both classes.
Sociology Tutoring
Received a grade A in sociology 101 at San Diego State University. I feel comfortable with the material. I have tutored 3 college students in the subject previously.
Spanish I Tutoring
I have taken 8 years of Spanish throughout middle, high school and college including Advanced Conversation/Reading at San Diego State University. (Received a grade A in all of them). I took the AP Spanish exam in high school and achieved a 4 out of 5. In addition, I have tutoring experience in intermediate and beginner College-level Spanish.
Spanish II Tutoring
I have taken 8 years of Spanish throughout middle, high school and college including Advanced Conversation/Reading at San Diego State University. (Received a grade A in all of them). I took the AP Spanish exam in high school and achieved a 4 out of 5. In addition, I have tutoring experience in intermediate and beginner College-level Spanish.
Spanish III Tutoring
I have taken 8 years of Spanish throughout middle, high school and college including Advanced Conversation/Reading at San Diego State University. (received a grade A in all of them and a B+ in AP Spanish Language) I took the AP Spanish exam in high school and achieved a 4 out of 5. In addition, I have studied abroad in both Nicaragua and Mexico and have become a fluent Spanish speaker.
