Fun Facts
I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I was homeschooled, which allowed me to develop a strong sense of responsibility for my education. I love playing piano, taking lessons for six years before college, although I continue to practice regularly. Lately, I have been trying to get better at drawing for something more relaxing and creative to do.
About Me
I am a senior majoring in Applied Mathematics at the University of New Mexico with a 3.99 GPA. I hope to get my Master of Science in Mathematics. After I finish school, I would like to either work in analysis or teaching calculus. I volunteer with a youth group and get along well with kids and adults alike. I am considered disciplined, organized, and approachable.
Experience
I have helped fellow students in my college classes, such as Calculus III, Macroeconomics, or Number Theory. I have often been asked for help with studying and homework. I also have experience working with kids and youth of any age through volunteer work and babysitting.
Approach
Since I was homeschooled, I had the benefit of individualized attention and a very thorough curriculum while I was learning. I was taught to study well and learned how to tailor a learning experience to a student's best potential. My understanding in how to teach individuals makes me a responsible tutor with the knowledge to help my students excel.
