Fun Facts
I have figured skated since I was five years old, creating my hard work ethic. I also love to be outside! I am the youngest child out of two and love spending time with my sister.
About Me
I am pursuing my Master of Science degree in Environmental Science at the University of New Haven. I graduated last May from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology.
I am currently working in a research lab at the University of New Haven.
My ultimate goal is to work at a research lab for water quality. However, along the way, I have very much enjoyed teaching freshmen college students.
Experience
During the school year, I work in a general biology lab at the University of New Haven where I teach three labs a week. Each week I gave a presentation to a group of 20 students on what we would be doing in the lab that day and relate it back to concepts they learned in their lecture class. During my undergrad, I also helped as a general biology teaching assistant.
I am also proficient in GIS. I have completed many research projects involving GIS and would love to help anyone that is learning.
Approach
I will be sure to explain concepts in more than one way and relate the material to the real world. These two variables were always two major things that led to my success. I also plan to show my passion for the subject matter that I will aid in helping the student learn.

MastersBiology Advance Tutoring
I took a senior capstone class in conservation biology, where I wrote a 100-page research paper and a 40-minute presentation. I also studied in Alaska my freshmen summer, where I learned many geology and biology skills. I also studied abroad in Denmark for a full semester, receiving a strong education in sustainability.
Biology I Tutoring
I have individually taught general biology lab for one year. I have assisted a professor all throughout my undergrad in general biology lab.
Biology II Tutoring
I have taken Ecology, Winter Ecology, Mycology, Limnology, Mammalogy, Communicating Nature, General Environmental Science, and Evolution. All these classes I received a B or higher. All classes gave me hands-on experience and were taken through my sophomore, junior and senior year at St. Lawrence Unversity.
Biology Tutoring

I took an AP Biology class when I attended High School and since then have increased my knowledge of many biology classes taken in college. I have also individually taught general biology lab for one year. I have assisted a professor all throughout my undergrad in general biology lab.
Microsoft Excel Tutoring
I have used excel for four years in an internship. I have also used Excel all through college, where modeling data on a small scale has become an everyday task for me.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
I have given many presentations with PowerPoint. PowerPoint is used in the professional world and in college that should be mastered. PowerPoint is something I feel very proficient in.
Microsoft Windows Tutoring
I work on Microsoft Windows every day and will to go through it with anyone on a step by step basis.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
I have written many papers in Word. Word is an important tool to have in the professional world, where track changes to co-workers is a very important skill to learn.
Networking Tutoring
I went to St. Lawrence University and networking was a key skill that was taught at the university. The alum there would network with the students as often as they could. I was apart of a networking club, where I received outside alum connections on different career paths I may take.
Science Tutoring
I have taught and been a student of science in college for over five years now. I love all aspects of science and would enjoy showing my passion to others. that may struggle with the subject. I have been a part of many research projects that have allowed me to get time to learn science outside the classroom that could help relate the subject matter to any student.
