Fun Facts
Hello! Here are three fun facts about me: 1. My favorite movie is Disney Pixar's "UP". If I ever get a dog I want it to be like Dug, speaking abilities and all. 2. Once I cracked my elbow into little pieces trying to climb a tree, but I recovered! And I still like to climb trees. 3. I am the eldest in my family with a little brother and sister. They are my favorite people in the world and my best friends.
About Me
I'm a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in International Relations and Mexican-American Studies with a concentration in Science, Technology, and the Environment and a minor in Latin-American Studies. I'm in the middle of applying to the Masters International program (a joint program between a Masters in Public Health and the Peace Corps). Someday I aim to work for the World Health Organization and create simple but effective health systems in needy countries around the world.

Often, I would host study sessions at my house and their children would join them. This is when I realized that I'm really effective at teaching, austin">tutoring, and mentoring small children as well. So I started helping them out too. I loved seeing the entire family working hard to learn new material and succeed.
When I was young I was sent to a language development center because it seemed that I could not understand English well enough. Unfortunately, the assessment was incorrect because I could understand everything, the words would just not come out. A wonderful teacher there realized that I was simply stuck and with a lot of patience and encouragement I learned to speak out. As a austin">tutor I know that all students have the potential to achieve and even surpass their goals. It just depends on the circumstances the student finds him/herself in. I like to take the time to know the student and his/her struggles and tailor the austin">tutoring session based on my findings. Everyone is diff
