Fun Facts
I am a passionate outdoor's person and work with the outdoor recreation department to lead trips for Seattle University students. I am also a very active person and during my free time I play lacrosse. I have played since I was 5 and am now the VP of the Seattle University team. However, if I am not outside, I can absolutely be found inside reading with a cup of tea.
About Me
I am a rising senior at Seattle University studying Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Engineering. I was on the Dean's List last quarter and graduated magna cum laude from my high school. I plan to work in the industry after graduation.
Experience
I have experience tutoring Mandarin to middle school students. Beyond teaching students academic skills, I also teach technical skills to peers on outdoor trips. Having both tutored and been tutored, I understand how to accommodate students and learn what works best for their learning styles.
Approach
I found that I have natural affinities for learning certain subjects such as language, reading, and science. However I initially struggled with mathematics until college when I learned how I best understood material. Having been told as a kid that I was bad at math, but later proving that teacher wrong, I empathize with struggling students and believe no one is bad at anything, it just takes the right approach and support to succeed.
