One thing I am super passionate about is family. I've always valued motherhood and dream of having a big family. I am very passionate about a family approach when it comes to education.

About Me

I am a sophomore, almost junior, over at the University of Northern Colorado. I am majoring in English, minoring in French, with a focus on secondary level education and English as a second language. I love working, living, and learning in Colorado and I'm a local. I've grown up here and this is my home.

Experience

As a member of the International Key Club I got to work with a local after school program called BASE Camp. I worked with elementary aged children and supervised them while helping them learn and grow through play. I also worked with a local family and tutored their elementary aged child in all subjects.

Approach

I am a passionate believer in positive reinforcement. I work with families and the student to figure out how to best help them become better learners. For younger children I use a sticker chart to help them learn how to work to a reward and monitor their progress. For older students I do my best to help them see how their progress is effecting them every day and how to apply their learning to their "real life."
