About Me
I am a senior Spanish major at chicago">Loyola University Chicago. When I graduate, I hope to work with nonprofits and travel in order to prepare myself for a Masters in Social Work program. My ultimate goal is to merge two of my biggest passions, Spanish and mental health, to offer therapy and social work services to Spanish-speaking populations.
Experience
As a camp counselor I taught instructionals in music and art to campers of all ages from toddlers to high schoolers. As a Resident Assistant I currently instruct university residents on a range of topics from personal development to social change through a variety of media, such as event planning and graphic design. Working for Frog Tutoring allows me to channel my passion for people, teaching, and Spanish language!
Approach
As a student, I recognize the importance of effective teaching. The best teachers are not only passionate about their subject matter, but also foster that passion in others by being passionate about others. As a tutor, I believe that great learning begins with care for the whole self. After all, it's hard for the mind to learn when it is under stress. By caring for the individual and encouraging mindfulness and reflection, I hope to make the learning experience more positive and productive!
