Fun Facts

I lived for 6 months in Argentina and I LOVE to travel! I also love to cook and bake, and I'm always looking for people with whom to share my baked goods. I have one older brother, and he and his wife are expecting a baby soon. I can't wait to be an aunt for the first time!

About Me

I'm in my third year of teaching high school Spanish, and I LOVE it!! I attended Indiana University and majored in Spanish and Psychology, and I became fluent in Spanish when I studied in Argentina and traveled around South America. I have a passion for working with young people, and I would love the opportunity to help more students be successful in Spanish.

I've been teaching high school Spanish for three years, and during that time I've always tutored various students before or after school on a voluntary basis, when needed. I have also had formal paid indianapolis">tutor positions for high school students, wherein I worked with specific students at a weekly scheduled time. I enjoy the opportunity to work with students outside of class, being able to expand upon course material or focus on topics on which the students are struggling, and I am eager for the chance to work with more students through Frog indianapolis">Tutoring!

As a teacher, I feel it is important to not only assist students in understanding course material, but to help them learn skills that will extend beyond each indianapolis">tutoring session. I strive to provide positive support and encouragement for my students, and give them confidence and assurance that they CAN do anything if they set their mind to it! I try to identify each student’s specific learning style, and determine the best ways to present material so as to address that. I understand that each student is different, and I set up my lessons that way. What a fun challenge!
