Fun Facts

There are so many interesting things about me that it is hard to name just a few! For starters I have seven siblings! I have four brothers and three sisters. I love big families because my family is huge.

I dislike chocolate very much, but I love white chocolate! A lot of people think that's strange for me to hate chocolate so much, but love white chocolate. I just can't help it!

About Me

Being a teacher is something I have always enjoyed doing! I want to help children learn and feel confident in their abilities to understand information and content. Everyday I get better and better at teaching and I am continuously learning better ways to teach my students.

I just completed my Student Teaching experience at Bowie Elementary and it was such a great experience. I student taught 3rd grade Math and Science and it was such an informative experience. I also have 40 hours of dallas">tutoring experience from my Diagnostic Reading course at The University of Texas at Dallas. I administered informal reading assessments to struggling elementary readers.

I dallas">tutor/teach from the motto, "I do, let's do, you do." I like to participate in guided practice with the students to help guide them through certain content. I follow the guided practice by doing some material with the students. It is great to walk through the material with them. Lastly, I give the student the opportunity to perform on their own. I end my dallas">tutoring sessions with a variety of formative assessments.
