Fun Facts
Even though have lived in America for 20 years... I still find it a struggle for me to recognize and understand American idioms. Every year I learn an idiom which is apparently very common.
About Me
I am a dental student at the chicago">University of Illinois at Chicago at the College of Dentistry. I completed my undergrad at Benedictine University with a Major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and two Minors in Mathematics and Analytical Business. I am looking forward to completing dental school in 2020 and beginning my career as a dentist.
Experience
Every level of my education I have engaged in opportunities to mentor or tutor. In high school, I was a mentor to incoming freshmen. In college, I was a teacher assistant for Biology and Chemistry Lab, a teacher assistant for Cell Biology, a grader for physics, and mentor for 3 years to new incoming class. In my graduate career, I continue to mentor students through a Health Professional Navigator Program.
Approach
I was born in Albania and came to America in 1998. At home, my parents did not know how to speak the language so I never received assistance to complete my school work. School has always been hard for me, but that has taught me how to properly learn.
