I'm an aspiring filmmaker! I've directed a few short films and go to the movies frequently (NYC is perfect for film lovers)! I read comics and love a good novel.

About Me

I'm an aspiring filmmaker who moved to NYC to be closer to the art scene. I've always been passionate about arts and education, and NYC is the place to help me make those dreams a reality.

I taught Middle school Algebra, Geometry, 6th Grade Math (Advanced and regular) and 8th Grade Math for three years. I've got a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Luther Rice University in Lithonia, GA, and a Masters Degree in Film Directing from Academy Of Art University in San Francisco, CA.

Experience

I worked in after school childcare for five years at La Petite Academy, as both an after school activities leader and a tutor. I'm certified to teach math grades 6-12 in Florida. I worked at Ivy Hawn Charter School of the Arts in Lake Helen, FL as a math teacher for three years, teaching Algebra, Geometry, and 6th and 8th Grade math classes.

Approach

Math is the subject that most students decide they either can or can't do and often never look at changing that. I believe and know that no subject is outside of anyone's ability, but some students need an approach that fits them better than their classmates. The teachers that influenced me most positively were math and science teachers who had the same approach, looking for what I needed rather than forcing me to learn it their way.
