Fun Facts
I am Sudanese-American, I love science and I can play the Violin. I am very passionate about writing, music, and film, and serve as the eldest daughter in my family. I love traveling and have just got back from a summer in Egypt! I am a major advocate of Mental Health Awareness and believe with good mental health you will easily thrive academically, so I definitely incorporate a joke or two in the sessions just to ease the tension of difficult/new subjects.
About Me
I am studying my undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas Denton after transferring from Texas Tech University from Biochemistry. I studied overseas in Jordan and received my Certificate of Arabic, as well as the language being my Native dialect. Although I do love science, I found that I am much more passionate in teaching rather than becoming a Dermatologist. However, my ultimate goal is become a writer!
Experience
I have been a tutor for many years for different subjects. Amongst my High School and College Organizations, such NHS, Women of Gold, and BSA org, I tutored for the sake of community service, as well as freelancing as a tutor during my college career for Calculus, as well as numerous grade levels for primary school all the way to high school.
I am now utilizing Frog Tutoring now to give me the opportunity to assist more students so that they can succeed in their journey.
Approach
As a child with undiagnosed ADHD, I struggled with my advanced classes but still made sure I was up to speed. I wish I had someone to make sure that I was up to pace every step of the way instead of feeling as though I had to work extra hard. My approach as a tutor/teacher is to make sure to be the lifejacket every single time my student will feel like they are drowning in their subjects by making sure I make the curriculum understandable, colorful and fun while still hitting every point needed.
