I love music and playing different instruments. I currently play drums, guitar, and bass guitar. I grew up in NJ my whole life and have 1 older brother and a niece and nephew (twins). Some of my other interests are hiking, volleyball, swimming, snowboarding and playing video games.

About Me

I grew up in NJ and attended college at Rutgers University where I obtained a BS in Business Economics. I taught middle school math for about 3 years and have been tutoring ever since I was in high school. Furthermore, I also worked in finance, warehousing, and marketing. I moved down to Austin for a change of scenery and don't plan to leave anytime soon. .

Experience

I taught middle school math for 3 years in Passaic, NJ and have taken up to Calculus II myself. Furthermore, I ran my own math tutoring business for about three years in the NY/NJ area and also tutored for the Passaic School District. I do have experience working with children as I used to babysit my niece and nephew when they were young and also was a counselor at a kids camp in my hometown.

Approach

I believe that every child is unique and my tutoring experience includes tutoring students one on one and in small groups. I use a variety of resources such as textbooks, interactive media (Khan Academy, TenMarks, math IXL, etc.) and hands on materials such as counting chips, algebra tiles, base ten blocks, and geometric figures. Every lesson I taught would be differentiated so that I would be able to reach every student and help them succeed not only in school but in their future careers.
