I am a very active person. I am a certified Elementary teacher who is raising four children of my own. I spend a lot of time running while training for a half marathon in May 2012. I love to go snowboarding with my kids and scuba diving with my friends. I am looking forward to going skydiving in the very near future...

About Me

My professional goals are to continue with my own education. I recently graduated with my Masters of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. However, I would like to learn how to speak Spanish fluently along with American Sign Language. My personal goals are to run/finish a half marathon with my daughter in May 2012, learn how to skydive, and go scuba diving in Australia. I would also like to go to Africa or Haiti and help teach English to students.

I have extensive experience with columbus">tutoring. I have tutored for about five years along with teaching. I have worked with students ranging from first grade to seniors in high school and in all subject areas. I have also tutored for OAA test preparation for students in elementary school.

My teaching/columbus">tutoring philosophy is to work as a team with my students. My students and I will work together to make progress in the subjects that they may be struggling with. My philosophy is to allow the student to learn through trial and error and to find the correct answer with guidance from me instead of me feeding them answer. I am there not only as a columbus">tutor for my students but just as importantly as a role model and mentor.
