Establish relationship with student as mentor and helper, rather than source of discipline or authority. Make it clear that as a austin">tutor, I am there to help, and not to antagonize. I have worked with children of all ages, and adults as well, and find that adapting to the student's individual learning style is imperative to produce results. I believe in repetition techniques, such as reviewing and providing a summary at the end of lessons. I firmly believe the student must be actively learning at all times, rather than merely asking for answers. I have had great success austin">tutoring and hold a history of drastic results in my students.
